Visiting the Doctor

Today was a rough day. I didn't sleep well last night, so neither did Mommy or Daddy. We probably had too much Thanksgiving turkey.

We had to get up this morning and go to the doctor's office. This was my first time going to this place and I was not very happy about it. Mommy and Daddy were pretty new to it, too. They didn't realize that they were going to have to undress me completely (the doctor wanted to know how much I weigh). They didn't bring anything to wrap me in or even spare diapers.

They did remember to bring their very organized three-ring binder with all of the baby information in it.

What a couple of scientists.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Grandma Debby and Grandpa Steve came up to visit today. They brought the entire Thanksgiving feast for Mommy and Daddy and Obachan. Everyone was very happy and meeting my grandparents was a lot of fun. Uncle Steve looks pretty tough, but I bet he's a push-over when it comes to little girls.

I slept a lot today. New experiences and people make me want to take a nap.

Home For the Holidays

Yay! Today I get to leave the hospital and go home with Mommy, Daddy and Obachan. It's cold outside, cloudy and dripping wet. I just want to be swaddled so that I can sleep in safe warm arms.

My First Full Day

Mommy and I are still at the hospital. Everyone is very nice to me here. Mommy and I are trying to rest as much as possible.

I forgot to mention in my post from yesterday that I met my first grandparent. Obachan ("Grandma" in Japanese) came to visit with me the very first day. I think she and I are going to have a lot of fun together. She came by again today with Daddy. Daddy looks a little tired. He'd better get some sleep now, because I like to wake up a lot in the middle of the night.

My First Post

Today I was born.

After that I was pretty tired, so I slept a lot. Mommy and I shared a room at the hospital. She woke up whenever I made a noise, so eventually I went over to the room with all the other babies.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
