Happy Halloween
OK. So there was a change in costume plans. Trick or Treating started in my Grandparent's neighborhood at 5:30 pm and the temperature was 80 degrees. So Mommy decided that I should wear my Japanese Festival outfit. That's fine, I really did not mind because the fun part was seeing my neighbor friend, Shelby, in her fairy princess dress and riding with Grandpap on the hayride.

Pumpkin Patch
What a wonderful cold autumn day! I wore my warm soft pants and matching zipper coat. We are all at Grandma Debby's house this weekend for the annual pumpkin carving. I loved playing with my cousins Kaitlyn and Lauren, especially when then dressed up in their Halloween costumes (Kaitlyn was a clown with colorful hair and Lauren was Spiderman). I especially enjoyed seeing all the pumpkins at the pumpkin patch.

Peeking out at the World
Ms. Beth wrote...
On our walk the sun was in Kaylie's eyes so I draped a blanket over the stroller hood. Kaylie happily spent the next 15 minutes as she rode "peeking" out at the world, holding the blanket tightly in such a way that only her face was showing.

"Sprouts"
Ms. Beth wrote...
Kaylie wore pigtails for the first time today. I call them "sprouts" because they're so tiny and wispy and springy--not really substantial enough yet to be real pigtails. But so cute. Daddy got a picture. She's equally cute from the back with her little spouts sticking out. I carried her in the Baby Bjorn for our walk today and I couldn't stop smiling.

Canopy of Yellow
We found a new park today. A wetland area off Eisenhower. I enjoyed walking under a canopy of yellow. Beautiful!

Grandma and Grandpa...GRRrrrr
Grandma and Grandpa Peters came to stay with us one night at the Pinestead. I was so excited since it was Grandpa that taught me to GRRrrrr. I also got to taste a finger that was dipped in red wine. Most delicious, Grandma! We all got to go outside to a Fall Festival in the afternoon and later in the evening, it was Grandma that rocked and sang me to sleep.

Walk in the Park
It was a beautiful, sunny yet very windy day today. After work, Mommy, Daddy and I went for a walk on Front Street in downtown Traverse City. I enjoyed sampling many cherry items like cherry jams, mild salsas, and chocolate covered cherries at the Cherry Republic and really enjoyed having my squash dinner at the Veteran's Memorial Park near a babbling stream. I hope that we can have another adventure again tomorrow.

Play Group in Traverse City
Today Mommy and I were guests at the Munson Community Wellness Center Playgroup for toddlers 7 months - 18 months. Ms. Kim who works at the Pinestead Reef front desk invited us. I got to meet Emma for the first time (Kim's daughter). I had a blast and went straight towards the toys and the other little people. I want to go again, perhaps next time in Ann Arbor!

Vacation Day
Today was better. Mommy did not seemed so stressed and she spent more time with me. We went outside to play on the green lawn and I got to see Ms. Alice and Ms. Ruthie who are in room 116. I met them yesterday and was so gleeful to see them again today. I had a wonderful two hour nap with Daddy as a nap buddy. I bumped my forehead on the corner of the coffee table; Mommy felt really bad since she was suppose to be"watching" me and was on the phone with work. In the evening we all went to the pizza party where I saw many more people. I do love pizza. What a wonderful day.

Hectic Day
Today I was not feeling well. I think my teeth were bothering me and Mommy and Daddy were both busy working to meet 5 pm deadlines for Gene Express and CyberData Solutions. I really miss Ms. Beth. I did however, get to meet some of the other residents at the 9 am donuts and coffee social. In the afternoon, Daddy took me outside where I got to look at the Grand Traverse Bay with its seagulls and ducks and lots of green grass. When work was over, Mommy look very happy and tired so she suggested that we all go for a family swim. I'm not quite sure of the swimming pool. It kind of frightened me. So all I did was place my feet in and splash. Daddy was a waterbug, though. I was fascinated because his head would be in one spot in the pool and then it disappeared and popped-up on the opposite side.

Week 40 - Pinestead Reef
Today Mommy, Daddy and I drove up to Traverse City, Michigan where we have a one-week time share at the Pinestead Reef. I didn't mind the long drive up there and many times I sang along with the radio songs while Daddy worked with his notebook computer. I really wanted to help him. When we arrived, I had to explore everything in the living room, kitchen, the newly renovated bathroom and the bedroom with two queen beds. Tomorrow I can't wait to explore the outside.

Errands
Today "the ladies" did errands together. Kaylie got so excited every time she saw another baby or child. At Whole Foods Market she saw a blond child (3-4 years old) and tried desperately to grab her, all the time making her gurgling, growling, squealing noises. The child just looked at Kaylie with solemn wide eyes.

Autumn October Day
It was cold enough today for me to wear my Peruvian hat and travel in the stroller with a blanket. We went to the tiny park on Stone School and explored. We saw Asters and many fruits - apples, pears, berries of various kinds. I still try to eat the leaves but seem to have a slightly better sense about flowers. I hold them looking and looking for the longest time and then pull them apart.
