Twigs, Trains, and Rocks, Oh My!
Hi Daddy! I wish you were here in Texas because I've a lot of stories to tell you. Today the sun was out, the wind was blowing and I spent hours exploring the back yard. There were rocks to lick, bark to taste, golf balls to find, doggies to "woof, woof" at, daffodils to pick, Siya's water dish to dip my hand into, and trains to watch. And look no Elmo hat!

Sunshine!
First Hair Cut
Mommy and I flew to Texas this morning. As soon as we arrived, Grandpap and Obachan took us to McDonald's for a Happy Meal and some time to play outside. The sun is nice and warm here. Later that evening in the big tub, I soaked in the water and played with a gigantic blue bucket, while Obachan cut my hair. Here are the before and after pictures of my new makeover.

Birthday with Friends
I got to see Auntie Kim and Uncle Tim today at Mis Saigon's restaurant because we were celebrating the birthdays of Auntie Casey, Uncle Brian and Mommy. The best part was after dinner when I ate strawberry speckled cake and played with my friends, Bailey and Brinnley. You say, how do I know they're my friends? Easy, because we share...I drank out of their water bowls and they checked out my sippy cup.

What a day!
Ms. Beth wrote...
Kaylie said cat again! "Gat!" (With a very clear "t" and a c/g sound. Very close to perfect!) It has been quite a day. I finally let Kaylie go without one mitten for a short while because she kept taking it off in order to pick things up more efficiently. I should have had more faith in her I guess (it would have saved me a lot of work too) because she very quickly decided on her own that it was cold without a mitten and brought it to me to put it back on her! Later Kaylie produced her first crayon drawing! What a day!

15 month Check-Up
Ms. Beth gave me steamed spinach with butter and I loved it. Weird, but delicious. Also Ms. Beth and Mommy took me to my doctor's appointment this afternoon. I got only two shots, but they were still painful. Luckily no more are scheduled until my 2 year appointment, otherwise the grown-ups (Mommy and Ms. Beth) might not be able to take it! I'm healthy and growing like a weed.

My friend Gabriel
What a great winter day! My friend Gabriel, Ms. Beth's nephew, came over this afternoon and we all walked to Buhr park. I slithered my way through a group of very tall grasses and sat under the pine trees to examine the world above. Spring will be here before you know it, so I am enjoying every minute of this winter season.

Would You Be My Valentine?
Wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day! It is a white snowy day here and our plans are to go to the Karate School for the "Black Coats" ceremony (Daddy is one of the "Black Coats") and then later this evening attend the special Mass to celebrate Mommy and Daddy's 5th year wedding anniversary. A dessert reception is to follow...hope there's chocolate cupcakes!

Stone School Park
Today Ms. Beth and I walked to the park on the corner of Stone School and Eisenhower. I was all bundled-up in my red snow suit with blue Elmo mittens and matching hat. Swinging on the play set was the best! I hope to go again when the weather gets a little warmer. It's hard to swing with a snowsuit on...

Today we did a lot of barking together. Kaylie loves the book Doggies (and others) by Sandra Boynton. Kaylie says "er-woof"!

Walk Outside in the Sunshine
Ms. Beth wrote...
Today Kaylie and I walked outside in the sunshine. It was finally warm enough (20 degrees) to get out for more than 5 minutes! Kaylie toddled down the sidewalk for awhile and then I pushed her in the stroller and she fell asleep. The sidewalks were quite bumpy in many places but she smiled as she bumped along and I'm amazed she fell asleep, but she did.
