Babies are Made for Moving

Today we walked around for a bit. A nice day but too hot in the sun so we played in the froggie pool instead of taking a second walk. I wore by pink bathing suit with the raffle and white hearts instead of just a swim diaper. Very cute! This time, I kept on wanting to stand-up and grab the froggie's eyes. I am always in motion.

Day with Daddy

Ms. Beth does not come back until Wednesday so I got to spend the day with Daddy. I especially like it when he puts on his walking straw hat. Then I know it means that we are ready to go for our father-daughter walk! I also like helping Daddy with his programming. Daddy, put a semicolon here...

Sunday Morning

This morning was a nice slow leisurely morning as we started to pack up for the trip back home. I had a wonderful time here meeting the children next door and swinging in the bucket seat tied to the large maple tree. I was able to play with the grass on a blanket and put my feet in the water. All the grown-ups also seemed to have a good relaxing time.

National Baby Food Festival Parade

This morning we saw the National Baby Food Festival Parade. I enjoyed looking at all the children, dogs, trucks and pickle-picking farm equipment! It was a beautiful day and I could see a whole lot more when I sat on Grandpa's lap. Later that evening, Mommy and the Grandparents went to Mass, while I took a nap. Daddy, Lou, Paula and I caught-up with them for dinner at the local Country Club.

Free Gerber Stuff

We explored the festival grounds in small downtown Fremont. We passed the Gerber factory that makes my food, went into the Gerber tent to get a lot of free stuff like bibs, grabbers, juice, picture frames, bottle sippy caps and washcloths. Mommy and Grandma enjoyed looking at all the craft booths. That evening during cocktail hour with our veggie and chicken quesadillas, we all got to ride in Paula and Lou's boat. Fun, fun!

National Baby Food Festival

Daddy, Mommy and I drove to Fremont, Michigan today to meet with Grandpa and Grandma Peters at the Sheridan House Bed & Breakfast. We were on vacation and found a place right on Fremont Lake. Our hosts Paula and Lou were so kind to me. They set up a crib in the room next to the window with the lake view and let me play with a LeapFrog Catapillar musical toy. For the adults, they had a cocktail hour complete with shrimp, cheese and crackers in the evening.

US Passport

Today is a very hot day. We got my passport straightened out in the morning, then we swam twice in the froggie pool. A bit of a Kaylie day as yesterday.

Fussy Day

Today I do not feel well. I am extremely fussy. Could it be that my teeth are bothering me?

Colorful Flowers

On our walk today we saw purple thistle, blue cornflower, and what Ms. Beth thought was a Linden tree. Later we stopped at the park and I played in the shade on a blanket.

Buhr Park

We walked to Buhr park again. Ms. Beth showed me many trees up close and I felt the bark. No surprise I liked the smooth ones better.

A Large Shady Maple

Gorgeous blue skies. Grass like emeralds! Must be all the good rain. We walked to Buhr Park and admired the Cobblestone farm next door. We sat for a while under a large shady maple. I sat up beautifully in the grass! I enjoyed feeling the wind and the grass. My one complaint was that Ms. Beth would not actually let me eat the grass after I have carefully picked it. Poor Kaylie!

Graceful Deer

A cloudy day. A little rain. We took a short walk and saw two graceful deer walking on the sidewalk near the library!! New food...Ms. Beth served corn with a little formula. I smiled at first, then rejected it with squeezed eyes and puckered mouth.

Children's Happy Voices

We often try and find new neighborhoods to walk through and explore. Today's neighborhood was not shady enough so after awhile we headed towards the library to cool off. There were games going on in the common room and I was very interested in all the children's happy voices.

A Cool Pleasant Day

A long walk through quiet neighborhoods. We saw a pond with cattails and red-winged blackbirds and a boy riding his bike with a little white dog in tow. We saw a tree split down the middle of two main branches which was the result of last night's rain storm. At the little park Ms. Beth held me as she rode a brown pony, the kind with a spring underneath. The mulberries and black raspberries are here. It was a cool pleasant day for walking.

Don't Bite the Baby

We walked outside and then watched "Baby Monet" which I seemed to be more interested in this time. I sat in my high-chair after lunch and chewed on my teething ring. Somehow I managed to bite myself twice. Then Ms. Beth wised-up and put the teething ring away. Mommy suggested an ice-cube popsicle in the mesh bag and that worked out better.

More Hair

We walked to the library and read a book about islands which I enjoyed very much. Good enough to eat, I may say. We also observed the fish and best of all, the other children. I have been napping more lately and have a bit more hair. Ms. Beth says that I am constantly changing which is both a happy and sad time.
