Cracka!

My new word today is "Craka". Just wait, pretty soon I will have more words, so many that Mommy will not be able to record each and every one of them.

Duck!

Grandpap went to the store and bought me a couple of bath toys so that I could play and play in their gigantic bathtub. I have a red watering can, a yellow bucket, a white boat and a yellow duck. I loved the duck so much that I kept asking for it by name. Duck!

Twigs, Trains, and Rocks, Oh My!

Hi Daddy! I wish you were here in Texas because I've a lot of stories to tell you. Today the sun was out, the wind was blowing and I spent hours exploring the back yard. There were rocks to lick, bark to taste, golf balls to find, doggies to "woof, woof" at, daffodils to pick, Siya's water dish to dip my hand into, and trains to watch. And look no Elmo hat!

Sunshine!

What a glorious day! I asked for my Elmo hat and tennis shoes so that I could go outside to explore Obachan and Granpap's backyard. (Mommy's note: the temperature was about 60 degrees, yet Kaylie still wanted her 'hat').

First Hair Cut

Mommy and I flew to Texas this morning. As soon as we arrived, Grandpap and Obachan took us to McDonald's for a Happy Meal and some time to play outside. The sun is nice and warm here. Later that evening in the big tub, I soaked in the water and played with a gigantic blue bucket, while Obachan cut my hair. Here are the before and after pictures of my new makeover.

Birthday with Friends

I got to see Auntie Kim and Uncle Tim today at Mis Saigon's restaurant because we were celebrating the birthdays of Auntie Casey, Uncle Brian and Mommy. The best part was after dinner when I ate strawberry speckled cake and played with my friends, Bailey and Brinnley. You say, how do I know they're my friends? Easy, because we share...I drank out of their water bowls and they checked out my sippy cup.

What a day!

Ms. Beth wrote...
Kaylie said cat again! "Gat!" (With a very clear "t" and a c/g sound. Very close to perfect!) It has been quite a day. I finally let Kaylie go without one mitten for a short while because she kept taking it off in order to pick things up more efficiently. I should have had more faith in her I guess (it would have saved me a lot of work too) because she very quickly decided on her own that it was cold without a mitten and brought it to me to put it back on her! Later Kaylie produced her first crayon drawing! What a day!

15 month Check-Up

Ms. Beth gave me steamed spinach with butter and I loved it. Weird, but delicious. Also Ms. Beth and Mommy took me to my doctor's appointment this afternoon. I got only two shots, but they were still painful. Luckily no more are scheduled until my 2 year appointment, otherwise the grown-ups (Mommy and Ms. Beth) might not be able to take it! I'm healthy and growing like a weed.

My friend Gabriel

What a great winter day! My friend Gabriel, Ms. Beth's nephew, came over this afternoon and we all walked to Buhr park. I slithered my way through a group of very tall grasses and sat under the pine trees to examine the world above. Spring will be here before you know it, so I am enjoying every minute of this winter season.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is Mommy's birthday. I sang to her when I got up this morning. I'm not, however, allowed to have any chocolate cupcakes. How about a cream puff?

Raja Rani

Grandma Debby came to visit us this afternoon. We are all celebrating Mommy's birthday at Raja Rani, the best Indian restaurant in Ann Arbor. I love the naan, rice pudding and pitcher of water... it can get a bit spicy.

Would You Be My Valentine?

Wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day! It is a white snowy day here and our plans are to go to the Karate School for the "Black Coats" ceremony (Daddy is one of the "Black Coats") and then later this evening attend the special Mass to celebrate Mommy and Daddy's 5th year wedding anniversary. A dessert reception is to follow...hope there's chocolate cupcakes!

Stone School Park

Today Ms. Beth and I walked to the park on the corner of Stone School and Eisenhower. I was all bundled-up in my red snow suit with blue Elmo mittens and matching hat. Swinging on the play set was the best! I hope to go again when the weather gets a little warmer. It's hard to swing with a snowsuit on...

er-woof!

Ms. Beth wrote...
Today we did a lot of barking together. Kaylie loves the book Doggies (and others) by Sandra Boynton. Kaylie says "er-woof"!

Sitting Still...Really

Ms. Beth wrote...
At playgroup today Kaylie spent a little more time than usual sitting still to play.

GandyDancer Birthday Brunch

This morning, I went with Mommy and Daddy to GandyDancer for Sunday brunch. We are celebrating Mommy's birthday early. She has to fly out to Florida this evening so it will be Daddy and me for the next two days. I'll make sure that I take good care of him.

Climbing Adventures

Ms. Beth wrote...
Kaylie began the day by climbing onto the windowseat and off. And on. And off. And on and off...

Walk Outside in the Sunshine

Ms. Beth wrote...
Today Kaylie and I walked outside in the sunshine. It was finally warm enough (20 degrees) to get out for more than 5 minutes! Kaylie toddled down the sidewalk for awhile and then I pushed her in the stroller and she fell asleep. The sidewalks were quite bumpy in many places but she smiled as she bumped along and I'm amazed she fell asleep, but she did.
